We always see things clearly looking back. Our troubles seem smaller and the solutions seem more obvious. How do we make our foresight clearer?
Having faith is easier said than done. Of course everything works out and we always will find strength to move forward, but that doesn’t always make us feel better in the moment. What can then?
Learning from our experiences. The phrase wise men make mistakes once and fools keep making them again and again is true. Don’t be afraid of making a mistake as long as you put yourself in the position to learn and grow from them.
Read more about situations, dangers, concerns, and benefits. My sister always told me that reading is a gift because anyone who has ever learned something can put it into writing for another to read. We can’t learn everything in our life but the closest we can get is by reading about other people’s experiences.
Ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask those who have already gone through something. Of course, make it as easy as possible for them to help you (so go to them prepared), but never stop yourself from asking. The worst that can come of it is ‘No’ and that’s a lot better than not asking and regretting it.
Don’t rule out certain people. Every single being can teach you something. Maybe they teach you something you need to do or they give you an example of what you don’t want to do. Every piece of knowledge is valuable.
Don’t be afraid of risks, but make sure they are calculated risks. Blind risks are gambling. Calculated risks are entrepreneurship. If you make your emergency bugdet/plan and make sure the risks you take don’t break that plan, then you’re much better off (in hindsight and foresight).
